Nurturing Tomorrow’s Basketball Stars: Youth Coaching at Maritime Progression

Waiver & Release Form

Participation in basketball training, camps, and related activities offered by Maritime Progression involves physical activity that may carry inherent risks. While every effort is made to provide a safe, structured, and supervised environment for all participants, injuries can occur during athletic activities such as drills, scrimmages, conditioning exercises, or general movement on the court. By participating in Maritime Progression programs, athletes and their parents or guardians acknowledge that basketball is a physically demanding sport that may involve contact with other players, equipment, or the playing surface. Participants are expected to follow all instructions provided by coaches and staff and to conduct themselves in a safe and respectful manner at all times. It is the responsibility of the participant or their parent or guardian to ensure that the athlete is physically able to participate and that any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or health concerns are communicated prior to participation. In the event of an injury or medical concern during training or camp activities, Maritime Progression staff may take reasonable steps to seek appropriate medical assistance if required. Maritime Progression strives to maintain a positive environment focused on skill development, teamwork, and personal growth, and reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is unsafe or disruptive to the program. By registering for or participating in any Maritime Progression program, participants and their parents or guardians acknowledge the nature of these activities and accept the associated risks. This acknowledgment supports the safe operation of the program and helps ensure that all athletes can train and develop in a structured, supportive basketball environment.
